1 photograph b&w.Language of material:EnglishScope and content:Fonds consists of a minutebook, 1902-1951, miscellaneous minutes, 1930-1952, correspondence files, n.d., 1916-1959, some financial records, 1937-1951 and miscellaneous notes, 1920-1929. Also included are some records of the Ottawa Printing and Pressmen's and Assistants' Union No. 5, which consist of correspondence, 1945- 1960, various by-laws, agreements and programmes, 1943-1956, and ephemera from Lloyd Nicholson, Secretary-Treasurer of the Pressmen's Union during the 1950's. The fonds also contains a photograph depicting the personnel of the Department of Public Printing and Stationary, Ottawa (Ont.), 11 May 1942.Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Ottawa Allied Printing Trades Council : The Ottawa Allied Printing Trades Council was re-established in January 1902 replacing an early council which existed in the nineteenth century. The council was composed of the Ottawa locals of the International Typographers Union, the International Printing Pressmen's Union and the International Brotherhood of Bookbinders.
