Canadian Association of Latin American Studies : The Canadian Association of Latin American Studies was formed in 1969, to facilitate personal contact and the exchange of information among those engaged in Latin American teaching and research in Canada; to foster throughout Canada, and especially within the universities, the expansion of information on and interest in Latin America; and to promote closer links between Canadian and Latin Americans engaged in similar or related fields of intellectual endeavour.
